What’s inside the Light Art Museum & Balloon Garden in Thailand?

Exploring inside the Light Art Museum

The Light Art Museum is said to be a place that recreates Thai culture through iconic images of the Land of Golden Temples, but vividly brought to life with light in a somewhat mysterious setting.

As you step through the entrance of the museum, you will be greeted by Thai women with friendly smiles and welcoming words, accompanied by traditional dances set to melodious and captivating music. Visitors can join in and take photos with these Thai dancers before exploring the light rooms inside.

The galleries use lighting technology, 3D mapping, and sound to vividly recreate traditional festivals like Loy Krathong and Songkran, magnificent temple architecture, and the unique cultural characteristics of Thailand’s three regions.

However, one thing I found slightly disappointing was the lack of guides or explanations for the symbols and cultural stories within each light room. This left me, as well as other international tourists, initially surprised but also somewhat let down upon entering the rooms.

If you love taking photos for social media, don’t miss these spots inside the lighting museum:

  • The Infinity Light Tunnel: One of the most beloved check-in spots, where thousands of LED lights create a shimmering, magical space.
  • The Endless Mirror Room: This room creates a fantastical visual effect, duplicating the space and offering opportunities for unique photos.
  • The 3D Projection Area: Here, you can directly interact with and become a part of the vibrant light art installations.
These locations are uniquely arranged for visitors to unleash their creativity.

These are the locations that I found to be arranged in a very interesting way, creating a sense of surprise and illusion. They leave a strong impression on visitors and are also ideal spots for capturing magical and mysterious photos.

A small tip: you should avoid wearing dark-colored clothing, as you will blend into the background in the light museum’s space.

Stepping into the vast expanse of the hot air balloon garden in Thailand

As soon as you set foot in the outdoor area, you will be immediately surprised by the vast hot air balloon park before you.

Unlike the imagined image of giant hot air balloons soaring in the sky, this garden features dozens of vibrantly colored balloon models arranged to float in the midst of a lush green space. This creates the feeling that you have wandered into a miniature version of a hot air balloon festival in Cappadocia, Turkey.

A unique highlight that cannot be missed is the classic cars cleverly interspersed throughout, serving as excellent props for your photos. The combination of the romantic charm of the hot air balloons and the nostalgic beauty of the cars creates a “check-in paradise” that photography enthusiasts simply cannot ignore.
