Caves at Tuc Dup Hill, Co To Mountain
Tuc Dup Hill is a famous historical relic of the That Son region. This renowned rocky hill was dubbed the “two million dollar hill” by the press due to the millions of US dollars worth of bombs and bullets dropped on it. Inside the hill lies a system of underground caves like a giant, solid, and sturdy honeycomb. Although corridors and some statues recreating wartime scenes have been added, the mystery within the hill remains a significant attraction for many curious individuals.

Inside the cave are winding paths, sometimes wide, sometimes narrow, where rugged rocky mountains rise and fall, featuring many magnificent and strange shapes. The deeper you venture, the darker the cave becomes, making explorers feel a sense of caution. However, this is an exciting experience for those who enjoy adventure.

Bac Vat Lang Cave – The Mysterious Cave in the Seven Mountains Region
Bac Vat Lang Cave is located on the majestic Cam Mountain – a place famous for its mysteries, traditionally said to be inhabited by many tigers and pythons. Bac Vat Lang Cave is about 300m from Phat Linh Pagoda and holds many interesting things. The cave entrance is quite narrow, allowing only one person to crawl through at a time. Inside the cave, there is absolutely no human intervention; the atmosphere is pitch black, cold, and gloomy. To go deep into the cave, a flashlight or miner’s lamp is necessary.

Legend has it that long ago, an expedition team ascended Cam Mountain and discovered this cave. Among them was Bac Vat Lang, a person highly skilled in geology. Locals say that with just a stick in his hand, he could tap on bridges or constructions and know their lifespan and potential problems. Therefore, later on, people used his name to name this mysterious cave.
The Caves of Dai Mountain
Dai Mountain belongs to the That Son (Seven Mountains) range, a place famous for its sacred legends known by many. The caves in Dai Mountain are also believed to hold many mysteries that no one can explain. Dien Troi Gam (Thunderclap Cave), Phu Nu Cave (Women’s Cave), Quan Y Cave (Military Medical Cave), and Hau Can Cave (Logistics Cave) showcase the grandeur of nature. Within these caves, granite boulders are stacked and interconnected like a mysterious labyrinth. Among them are extremely deep, dark, and gloomy caves that no one has dared to venture to the end of to this day.

A unique feature of the caves in Dai Mountain is the presence of winding streams and small springs with crystal-clear water. Because of this, no matter how difficult the wartime conditions were, our soldiers still had a water source to sustain themselves within the caves and carry on with their daily lives.
Caves at Anh Vu Son Mountain
Among the locals, Anh Vu Son is also known as Ket Mountain or Ong Ket Mountain. This small mountain, reaching a height of 225m, is part of the That Son range, belonging to the Mysterious That Son. One of the attractions of Ket Mountain is the U Minh Temple, with its many mysterious aspects. The path to the temple is very treacherous, following the rocky slopes along the edge of deep cliffs, winding through deep, dark alleys within the heart of the mountain.

Upon first entering the cave, you’ll be startled by two enormous stone pythons. In the center of the temple, there are also statues of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and the Judge reviewing the book of life and death, with Ox-Head and Horse-Face below. Inside the temple, there’s also a deep, locked cave, rumored to be a passage that could cross Ta Lon Mountain to Cambodia. The cave entrance was sealed off due to safety concerns for visiting tourists.
